Nathan Ciulla serves as the President of the Board of Directors of Greenlight Family Services. As a former foster child, now adopted son, Nathan is passionate about keeping families together and thriving. He also serves as the Treasurer/Director of Marketing of the Chicago Paralegal Association and is the Assistant Office Manager and Senior Legal Assistant at SATC|Law. 

As a legal professional, Nathan is working with his colleagues to provide easier access to justice for Illinois residents. At SATC|Law, his focus is on helping clients, assisting lawyers, and making everyone feel welcome. Nathan is a valued asset to the firm’s litigation and trust and estates teams. He continues to branch out into new areas, including assisting with IT, marketing, social media management, and administration. 

Additionally, Nathan is the Senior Producer and Host of the Bridging Chicago podcast, the premier Chicago-based community and social podcast brought by the SATC|Solution Center. He has experience giving presentations and webinars on topics such as branding, legal ethics, and diversity and inclusion. Nathan believes that everyone’s story has value, and by sharing these stories, even if it is just with one other person, we can inspire change in our communities.

Anne Searle Bent is the founder of Porchlight Counseling Services, serving student survivors of sexual harm. Greenlight acquired the incredible Porchlight Counseling program in 2017, now Greenlight Counseling. Anne serves as a member of the Greenlight board of directors where she provides her insight and guidance as a legal and medical advocate for survivors of sexual harm. She also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Art Institute of Chicago. Anne received her BA from Kirkland/Hamilton College in New York and her MEd from the Erikson Institute in Chicago.

Dr. Murad is a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist and specialist in Interventional Endoscopy and has been providing personalized, quality care to patients for over 15 years. Dr. Murad completed his Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.  He then joined Washington University in St. Louis on Faculty when he was Director of Endoscopic Ultrasound and co-founded the Per-Oral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM) Program. Dr. Murad was also on Faculty at St. Louis Children’s Hospital helping manage complex pediatric GI cases. He was then recruited to return home to Chicago and was Director of Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy for NorthShore University HealthSystem.

Dr. Murad later joined Advocate Health where he was hired as the first employed Gastroenterologist at Illinois Masonic Medical Center and has been helping grow the employed practice. Additionally, Dr. Murad is working to obtain his Executive MBA from the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business.

An expert in his field, he has been published over 50 times and has won numerous awards for his work. He is on national committees and continues to be involved in education and research projects.  Dr. Murad continues to have interest in minimally invasive approaches to endoluminal procedures including flexible robotics in the GI tract.

Georgia Healey is a brand marketing and general management executive who has built her career leading strategy, new product development, advertising, and business management for iconic household names such as Suave, Vaseline, Hellmann’s and Baby Dove. Most recently, she has worked as SVP of Brand Marketing for PROVEN Skincare, a startup that is pioneering personalized skincare using artificial intelligence. Georgia’s professional areas of expertise include innovation, digital brand communication, omnichannel disruption, and leading cross-functional teams.

Georgia grew-up in New York City where she became a competitive swimmer at a young age. Throughout her athletic career and still to this day, Georgia has found opportunities to champion her fellow student-athletes and promote the sport. In college, she served as co-captain of the University of Notre Dame Women’s Varsity Swimming & Diving team and as president of the Notre Dame Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC).  Today, Georgia enjoys recreational swimming and serves as president of the board of directors of Lyons Aquatics, a non-profit, competitive program offering professional coaching and technical instruction in swimming, diving, and water polo for all ages and abilities.

Georgia holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. She lives in La Grange, IL with her husband and their three young children.

Adrian is a devoted mother, grandmother, and a fierce advocate for Grandparents Raising Grandchildren (GRGs) and Greenlight Family Services. Adrian started as an advocate in 1998, the year her grandson was born with cocaine in his system. She endured a long and complex fight for custody of her grandson whom she has raised lovingly. 

In 2006, she was instrumental in drafting the Fostering Connections to Success and Increasing Adoptions Act of 2008 which was signed into law by President George W. Bush on October 7, 2008. The law made numerous changes to the child welfare system, mostly to Title IV-E of the Social Security Act, which covers federal payments to states for foster care and adoption assistance. According to child welfare experts and advocates, the law made the most significant federal improvements to the child welfare system in over a decade.

Adrian founded and facilitates the Gift of Hope support group for GRGs. The group meets in person on Wednesday mornings and has helped more than 2200 kinship families. 

In 2020, Greenlight Family Services honored Adrian Charniak with its annual Impact Award for her dedication to grandfamilies.

Valerie Letko is an Attorney at Stinar Gould Grieco & Hensley. Valerie primarily focuses her practice on cases involving sexual and interpersonal violence and abuse, most often where children were harmed by serial predators. She represents victims of sexual abuse throughout the country in cases against religious institutions, scouting organizations, and schools. 

Valerie graduated summa cum laude from the University of South Carolina in 2016 with a B.A. in Political Science. In 2021, she graduated magna cum laude with her Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law.  At law school, she was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Chicago-Kent Bar and Gavel Society.  She was captain of the Trial Advocacy Team and the National Trial Competition Regional Champion in Spring 2021, earning the Best Advocate in the Midwest Award in Fall 2020.

Amy E. McCarty earned her Juris Doctor from the John Marshall (now University of Illinois Chicago) Law School. Ms. McCarty was selected as Super Lawyer for the last six years and is widely regarded as a leading guardianship and probate attorney in the Chicago-land area. Her background as a former Assistant Public Guardian makes her especially skilled at pursuing cases involving abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation of both adults with disabilities and minors. 

In addition to guardianship and probate, Ms. McCarty’s areas of practice include child welfare and juvenile law, elder law, mental health and confidentiality, litigation and appeals. Whether appealing DCFS findings, arguing the confidentiality of custody records in the circuit and appellate courts, or handling the countless other cases she pursues, Ms. McCarty is a fierce and compassionate advocate for her clients.

Ms. McCarty is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law teaching mental health law. She is a former Chair of the Chicago Bar Association’s Mental Health Law Committee and serves as a member and legal advisor to the adult protective services M-Team for both Pathlights and the Sinai Institute. She routinely provides in-service trainings and presentations on guardianship, surrogate decision-making, elder law, child welfare and mental health and confidentiality.

Attorney McCarty is active in numerous community service organizations and Boards, including, but not limited to, serving as a Member and Immediate Past President of the Board of Directors of Meals on Wheels Chicago and Member of the Human Rights Committee for Misericordia.

Allie’s professional journey began in Miami, where she served as a Teach for America teacher, imparting knowledge in the field of social studies. Her dedication to education and her desire to help others led her to become an academic football coach. After her teaching career, Allie transitioned into the field of corporate law, working for K&L Gates LLP. 

Allie has consistently pursued higher education, ultimately obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Global Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Master’s degree in Education from Johns Hopkins, and a Master’s degree in Sports Administration from Northwestern University. 

It was Allie’s journey from teacher and academic football coach to working for corporate partners at a law firm that ultimately led her to combine the best parts of her experiences. With a deep-rooted desire to create opportunities for the advancement of athletes, businesses, and more, Allie founded CULTUR5. Kasia is known for her exceptional communication skills, negotiation acumen, and fostering collaboration both internally and externally. As a Director of Business Development and Relations, Kasia is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and building lasting relationships with clients, strategic partners, and key stakeholders. Kasia understands the importance of aligning services with the unique needs of clients, ensuring a personalized and client-centric approach.

Along with serving on the Greenlight board of directors, Kasia is as an active participant in legal industry associations, such as the Association of Legal Administrators, and serves the broader community through the Chicago’s Children Advocacy Center.

In her personal life, Kasia enjoys spending time with her teenage son by attending his soccer games and supporting him on his fitness journey. She finds joy in being outdoors, playing volleyball and hiking in nature.

Ian has 15 years of experience in healthcare, serving in consulting and executive operating capacities at organizations across the healthcare and healthcare technology ecosystems. Ian has firsthand experience successfully growing organizations to tens of millions of dollars in revenue along with some of the world’s most recognized global healthcare firms. He calls Chicago home, having grown up in central Massachusetts.

Ian has held a variety of product, consulting, and executive roles at leading healthcare organizations like Epic Systems, The Advisory Board Company, and Deloitte Consulting. Most recently, Ian was a founding member of Falcon Consulting (acq. AVAAP), and is the former Chief Revenue Officer and co-founder at a late-stage biotechnology startup, Virgo, serving physicians and big pharma in the endoscopy space. Currently, Ian supports early-stage healthcare technology companies going to market and is a Partner at Kamyn Search, a boutique retained executive search firm in Chicago.

Ian is an active mentor in the Techstars accelerator network, works with a variety of startups as a business development and go-to-market mentor, and is passionate about mutual aid in his home community.

Ian earned his undergraduate degrees at Vanderbilt University, is an Eagle Scout, and active volunteer with The Special Olympics and Best Buddies. He lives in Chicago with his wife and corgi, and is an avid alpinist, skiier, sport climber, gardener and LEGO builder.
