The mission of Greenlight Counseling is to empower student survivors of sexual harm to find healing and reconnection through free, confidential counseling services.
Unwelcome sexual advances, manipulation for sexual favors, sexually related hazing, forceful assault, and other forms of sexual harm can greatly affect an individual’s wellbeing, social relationships, and school experience and environment.
In partnership with Chicago area universities and private practice therapists, Greenlight Counseling provides 20 free therapy sessions to currently enrolled student survivors who have experienced sexual harm while in high school, college, or graduate school. Counseling is an effective way to process harmful experiences, gain skills to work through issues that often accompany sexual harm, and begin the journey of healing and reconnection.
Greenlight Counseling works with each student survivor’s busy schedule, location, and specific needs and preferences. Greenlight therapists are highly qualified, trauma-informed clinicians who specialize in sexual harm recovery, and offer in-person and virtual services in the metro Chicago area.
